About PeakMath

PeakMath is a membership site for true lovers of mathematics, created by Andreas Holmstrom, with the help of a small and friendly team.

I (Andreas) hold a PhD from Cambridge and have many years of experience of research and teaching. During the day I teach high-school math in a small coastal town of Norway, but during the night, I think about L-functions and allow myself to dream. I have a passionate love for mathematics, and hope to share that with you through various courses I teach here at PeakMath.

Become a member or supporter

The PeakMath project is entirely reader-supported. You can join as a free or paying member, and you can also donate to the project via Ko-fi. Whether as a free or a supporting member, you'll get access to the full archive of everything that's been published before and everything that's still to come.

Receive emails, or not

All members will receive an email a few times per year with a general update on what's new at PeakMath. If you want more frequent and detailed emails on what's published this week or month, sign up for specific courses you are interested in, or simply visit the site regularly.

Courses

You have probably found your way to this page through the RH Saga on YouTube. The plan for 2026 is to teach two courses on L-functions, which in my view form the deepest and most mysterious part of pure mathematics. In writing, I can go into much more detail than what's possible in a YouTube video, and I will give you the tools to explore the world of L-functions on your own. Looking beyond the RH Saga, I have many other ideas for things I would love to teach, with a philosophy of viewing all of mathematics as a unified whole.
